AKinyosoye model college first campus was established on octomber 7th 1996 as a co-education post primary school in Bamikemo in Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo Local Government Area.The founders are educationists with a lot of experience in teaching and Educational Management at various levels of Education.The college is an off-shoot of the distinguished, Aunty Dupe Nursery and primary school,ile-Oluji and Bamikemo. It is dedicated to a renowned teacher –chief G.O.Akinyosoye,the fatherof the proprietress of Aunty Dupe Nursery and primary school.papa taught and headed many schools in the old Western region of Nigeria for more than 40years before he retired in 1975.the college provides facilities that are tailered to giving the student opportunity to develop their individual mental capacities to the fullest. The first campus of the college was approved by the ondo state government on 18th August 1997. The second campus was approved on 21th January 2002 and the college was upgrade d to senior secondary school on 21th January,2002.Both campus are presently on its permanent sites with adequate facilities.Akinyosoye Model College Bamikemo moved to its permanent site in 1997 and Akinyosoye Model College ile-Oluji 1999. THE AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE COLLEGE INCLUDES; In congnizance with the National policy on Education,the college was established with the following aims and objectives; 1.To provide qualitative education both moral and academic to boys and girls irrespective of their social,religious and ethnic background 2.To bring into harmony the development of the physical,mental,social and spiritual powers of our youths from different socio-economic background in an environment that is conducive to the acquisition of the knowledge and skills. 3.To equip the students with the knowledge to meet the various challenges of our time especially in science and Technology. 4.To operate a broad-based curriculum that will bring out the ingenuity of the students to cope with the various roles expected of them in their later life. 5.To inspire the students to be thinkers and inspire them with the principles of truth,obedience,honour integrity and purity which will make them a positive force for the stability and upliftment of our society. 6.To inspire the students to aim at the development of all their faculties so as to excel and be an intellectual model for our society. 7.To achieve good academic performance in their JSSCE and SSCE and easy transition to the tertiary institutions of their choice.
